Dutchman's Curve
« Previous Main Next »

This is the beginning (or the end, some might say) of Dutchman's Curve in west Nashville, where the worst train accident in United States History occurred July 19, 1918. It happened when the westbound Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis No. 4 train collided with the eastbound No. 1 killing somewhere in the neighborhood of 121 people and injuring many more. Those interested will find a detailed story about it by Mike Kilen, HERE.
