All are welcome. Except trolls, who will be summarily decapitated.
Actually, calling them trolls is an insult to trolls. Join us.

As of yesterday, the new version of this blog is up and running again HERE.. You all are so kind to bear with me. I feel compelled to give out prizes. There are some major changes in the works over there namely in the content and subject matter and I hope all of you will join me and join in as well. I may move some of the old Pitcherlady posts from this page, over to the new page from time to time but this page will remain here intact. The posts from June and July that I created on the new page along with your nice comments, were sacrificed to the Gods.

Team Work

So, the new Wordpress blog committed suicide. I spent an hour yesterday in a live chat with tech guy, Frank. My first words to him were:

My blog disappeared. There is nothing but a blank page where the blog and the admin panel used to be.

His first words were: Let me know when you've installed it.

I knew then it was going to be a long conversation. In the end he blamed the flashy theme (I knew that was going to be trouble) and turned me over to those who could conceivably fix it from their side. That was this time yesterday. I still haven't heard from them.

Meanwhile, check out these ants. They're carrying a piece of bacon up a vertical brick wall. They worked on it for an hour or so and once they reached the top, abandoned it to a smaller variety of black ant. We were never able to figure out (not being ants ourselves) what the social implications of this were. Maybe the small ants contracted with the larger ones to do the heavy lifting (?) Anyway, hope you all are bearing up under the heat. I spent two days (the hottest of the year here so far) having a yard sale. It took until about Tuesday to get over the smothering exhaustion but I'd do it all over again if it led to a clean basement.
